Can I enter mixed numbers like 1 3/4?
Yes. Each fraction has separate whole, numerator, and denominator fields, and the tool converts them to improper fractions internally before doing the math.
Will it simplify the answer automatically?
Yes. Results are always normalized to lowest terms, and the tool also shows the mixed-number form and a decimal approximation.
How does it handle negative mixed numbers?
If either the whole part or numerator is negative, the tool treats the full fraction as negative. Negative denominators are normalized so the sign ends up on the numerator.
Why does divide fail on some inputs?
Division throws an error when Fraction B is zero, because dividing by a zero fraction is not allowed.
Why does the simplify box go back to dashes without an error?
The simplify panel fails quietly on invalid input. Only the main calculation area shows a status message for problems like a zero denominator.
