Why does Copy as CSS only give one scale when I'm viewing triadic or complementary palettes?
The export buttons currently generate a monochromatic scale from the base hue and saturation. The preview changes with the selected palette type, but CSS and JSON export do not switch to the active harmony.
What do the 5, 9, and 11 step options actually change?
They control how many lightness steps are generated in each palette row. The tool spreads each row from light to dark and uses matching shade-style labels where possible during export.
Can I copy just one swatch without exporting the whole palette?
Yes. Clicking any swatch copies that hex value directly to the clipboard and shows a short Copied message.
Why didn't my typed hex update immediately?
The native color input regenerates live, but the text HEX field updates on change rather than every keystroke. If you type manually, tab out or press Enter to trigger it.
How are these palettes generated under the hood?
The tool converts your base color to HSL, rotates hue for complementary, triadic, analogous, split-complement, or tetradic sets, and builds each row by sweeping lightness.
